Here is an older work of mine that stemmed from browsing through Flickr one day. I came across some cool photos of some spiders and decided to try to re-create one of the photos in CG.

I modeled the spider and the flower in Maya and then sculpted in Zbrush. The render was done in Maya with Mental Ray I comped the final image in Fusion and did some minor color correction in Photoshop.
